DeepFlight’s Super Falcon 3S Is An Aquatic Predator

Super Falcon 3S

Submersible specialists at DeepFlight and Rainbowfish Ocean Technology have joined forces to offer those of you who appreciate immersive travel experiences the choice of a lifetime. The DeepFlight Super Falcon 3S is the company’s its latest aquatic explorer, and fierce predator, delivering an unprecedented level of exposure to the underwater realm to individuals.

Featuring three inline viewports and benefiting from a closed-circuit communications system, with cast-acrylic hemispherical canopies, the pilot and two lucky passengers will enjoy blissful aquatic sights at depths of up to 400 feet.

This amazing thing packs a fly-by-wire, three-axis flight control system, and it’s able to travel through water similar to a plane through the clouds, thanks to two pressure-compensated, direct-drive, brushless DC thrusters and a large composite propeller.

As such, a top cruising speed of 6 knots can be achieved, with the 14 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery allowing for up to 8 hours of autonomous travel underwater, of course. Please note that the Super Falcon 3S is positively buoyant, which means that in case any system failures occur, the civilian-oriented sub will naturally head to the surface and allow you to be safely rescued.

DeepFlight Adventures is going to start testing and launching this amazing thing in Hawaii, the Maldives, French Polynesia, and the Caribbean, but you’ll have to wait until 2017 for the first resort outpost to open, and we have yet to find out where.
