What Kind of Birth Control Is Lo Loestrin Fe?
Lo Loestrin Fe is a combination hormone birth control. It contains norethindrone (a progestin) and ethinyl estradiol (an estrogen). These hormones help prevent ovulation, thicken your vaginal fluid to make it harder for sperm to reach an egg, and change the uterine lining to help prevent a fertilized egg from implanting.

Lo Loestrin Fe Reviews
11/9/2020 – “This birth control gave me the worst acne I have had in a long time cystic acne all over my jaw and cheeks. It affects everyone differently but I am now trying a different one after being on this one for 4 months; it was fine for mood.”
11/3/2020 – “I started this pill to stop ovulations and hopefully regulate my PMDD. I was really hesitant because I’ve had terrible experiences with birth control in the past. Yaz, specifically, put me in a flat out depression for 3 months. I’ve been on this BC for the last 3 months consistently, minus a week that breakthrough was causing bleeding and cramping that I stopped for 4 days to relieve. My moods are amazing, I haven’t felt a single outburst in the last 3 months. My sex drive is incredibly high, and my boyfriend is grateful. I feel like I have me back, and suggested for anyone who’s had problems with other birth controls.”
10/25/2020 – “DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL. My daughter had to take this pill because she was having very irregular cycles (6-week-long period, 2 weeks off, then a month long). She had a beautiful complexion before and was happy and outgoing. Almost a year on this pill, and her skin is ruined and she’s very moody. She now has horrible acne (we’ve spent hundreds of dollars at a dermatologist, they now want her to start Accutane). I’m hoping they will switch her pill, because this was the WORST decision ever. I wish I would have read all these reviews before letting her doctor prescribe it. I’m also annoyed the dermatologist never considered this as the cause of her continuously worsening acne.”
10/4/2020 – “Amazing! The beginning was rough! Nausea, diarrhea, extreme fatigue! But after a month, got used to it. High sex drive! I’ve never had so much sex drive like this before. My boyfriend loves it! I’m very happy with it so far.”
8/24/2020 – “I have had very bad experiences in the past with birth control pills (depression, weight gain, etc…). I tried Lo Loestrin Fe after the birth of my daughter and was happily surprised how well my body reacted to it. I took it for 2 years and then stopped as I wanted to have a second child. Will get back to it soon. After stopping it, my periods came back as well as bad PMS. It seems like everyone has a different reaction to it, so I would suggest to test it and see with your OBGYN if this one is good for you. Because when it works it is a true relief to be able to rely on a birth control that your body likes.”
