This Futuristic 1972 Maserati Boomerang Could Be Yours

Maserati Boomerang

Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro back in 1971, the Maserati Boomerang impressed everyone at the Geneva Motor Show a year later, with its futuristic design, with sharp angles and a wedge shape that would influence other cars unveiled in the next years, like the VW Golf1, Lancia Delta, Maserati Quattroporte III and the DeLorean DMC-12 which looks incredibly close to this beauty.

Some of the most unique and interesting concept cars have been imagined from the late 1960s to the early 1990s and one of the most striking cars was this particular Maserati Boomerang, that’s now up for the grabs!

This unique Maserati prototype was built on the chassis of the Maserati Bora, featuring a massive 4.7L V8 engine under the hood which can produce 310 horsepower, taking this supercar to a hair rising top speed of 180 mph. Furthermore, this particular Boomerang is road legal, registered and still in top notch condition, which means it could definitely be enjoyed on the open road.

The pointed nose of the car is unlike anything you’ve seen, but there’s way more to it that makes this car worthy of our full and undivided attention. So, if you like this Maserati Boomerang and you’d like to own a piece of automotive history, you should check out Bonhams Chantilly Sale, on September 5th, when this car will be up for auction.
